Inspiring Change

As a survivor leader, it is never lost on me how different my story could have been; that I truly am a walking miracle. It has been nothing short of a blessing that I now can take what was meant for evil and meant to take me out and use it to be able to empower and educate others on the reality of human trafficking.

You don't have to have a background in trafficking to have a heart for trafficking.'

'At this year’s Inspire Change gala hosted by The Collaborative to End Human Trafficking, I was honored with the opportunity to be the keynote speaker and to share the platform with some other amazing survivors and people that are allies in the anti-trafficking sector. The event space was full of people from all different walks of life and spheres of influence but all of us came united in the fight and with the hope of eradicating this very present evil that exists in our world.

When survivors are empowered, developed and encouraged to be more than just their story, the possibilities are endless on what is possible to attain in their belief system about themselves.

The ever present feeling of imposter syndrome slowly begins to fade out and the person they were created to be begins to emerge, flourish, and thrive.

It is critical that communities, allies, and survivors continue to wrap around and support one another and having organizations create space for a survivor to become all that they can is a precious responsibility that must be handled with care. I cannot begin to thank The Collaborative enough for their continued work to make this possible for us and others and for their care in how survivors are supported.
